Hello. I'm C.M. Townsend. Welcome to the madhouse.

All jokes aside, I am a multi genre author working on my first books. I am currently working on a poetry collection and a children's story. I also have novels underway.

This is a safe space for anyone and everyone interested in joining me on my writing journey. Hate is not welcome here or on any of my social media platforms. Let's create a space where we can share in our love of books and be ourselves.

I am an avid mental health and environmental advocate. Everyone is fighting a battle whether on the surface or below, so please be kind.

A war declared on voices against the grain, unbidden by societal— Enough ! Your words have been said, unclaimed and ignored, dismissed as abrasive, rude, inflammatory— Wrong! An open mouth but no words spoken, a soundless answer, weighed down by the thoughts of others. Cry out for justice, equity— Silence! Unfounded fear and walls, built on hate and hate alone. Remember (Free verse poem)

L and steals not our memory, nor our presence, as time casts our fragile shells aside, the Earth remembers. Footsteps cast in sand, dredged deep as stone resides. For those who walked before us have long since joined the tide. Our voices echo in wisps along the wind, carried through rustling leaves and floating higher, cast far and wide. No, land does not forget-- for we are one and the  same. Our existence  intertwined with  that which gave us form, gave us air, gave us life. For it is true not all can see, unknown are we to all but those held dear and those revered; but time itself sets history a flutter, as shadows linger in the very Earth that nurtured us, now plants the seeds of our memory deep within the hearts of those who wander the Earth anew.  A poem to celebrate. A poem to unite. Pride month is here, and while a person's identity as queer and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community is not limited to one month a year, it is a time to come together and celebrate, commemorate, remember, and fight. Queer is not a colour, neither place nor person. Queer is not loosely used, nor a personality marker thrust out lightly. Queer identity. It is who we are.
